Titans and Ultimates Guide

Prestige Ceiling of The Noob Experiment TD

Titans and Ultimates sit at the top of The Noob Experiment TD’s identity ladder. They are not day-one hotbar filler. They are the prestige answers to Extreme clears, Endless walls, and sweaty Roblox HQ boards once farmers and specialty DPS already exist. Tower Defense Games shipped these families as named features of the Roblox beta — alongside crates up to Godly, crafting, index progress, and voice-flavored presentation inspired by Flippidee’s Noob Experiment series.

If you are still leaking Normal waves with unupgraded starters, bookmark this page and finish the Getting Started Guide first. Titans do not fix broken economy timing.

What Titans Are For

Titans are high-rarity, high-impact anchors. Community and tier coverage commonly reference Titan Noob / Titan Guest / Astro Titan Noob–class identities as the prestige ceiling of the crate and craft ladder. Exact drop tables move in beta; the role does not:

  • Primary job: Stabilize late waves where normal DPS falls behind enemy HP scaling.
  • Secondary job: Anchor boards so farmers (ideally Chief Scientist Guest) can keep printing cash from high-HP kills after the economy rework.
  • Not their job: Replace early placement discipline or map reading.

Place Titans on the lane segment where the largest threats linger longest. Feed them E. Sell weaker duplicates of the same role with X once the Titan is online — cluttered boards steal upgrade cash.

Ultimate Lineup

Ultimates evolve core NETD identities into late-game pieces. The named set players plan around:

UltimateBase identityTypical board job
Ultimate NoobNoob lineFlexible combat backbone
Ultimate GuestGuest lineCombat / Guest-tech continuity
Ultimate BuilderBuilder lineConstructive / support-leaning gaps
Ultimate BrickBattlerBrickBattler lineAggressive combat bridge into prestige

You do not need all four Ultimates to clear content. One complete Ultimate that covers a hole — plus a real farmer and a specialty tool like Juggernaut Boombox — often beats a museum of half-built prestige units.

Crafting Toward Ultimates

Ultimates usually sit behind materials and recipes, not pure wishful summoning. Use the Crafting Guide to triage Swords, energies, and rarer parts. Route duplicates from crates into the Ultimate that matches your missing role instead of randomly crafting whatever recipe flashes first.

Index completion helps you see which Ultimates you still lack so quest and endless grinds stay purposeful.

How Titans and Ultimates Fit With Modern Crate Units

Recent crates added tools that change when you need prestige:

  • Chief Scientist Guest — Best-in-class farmer. Get this online before you obsess over a second Titan.
  • Juggernaut Boombox — SoundWave pack clear. Bridges mid-to-late density so you are not forced into panic Titan pulls with zero economy.

A healthy late board often looks like: farmer → Boombox or similar specialty DPS → Titan and/or Ultimate anchors. Check live rankings on the Tier List after each rebalance.

Guest-update style showcases are useful for seeing how prestige kits and mode UIs look in real lobbies:

Progression Path Without Tilting

  1. Level and quest. Higher levels improve crate tiers toward Godly; quest buffs (new weeklies, clear-all daily/weekly rewards) fund materials. See the Quests Guide.
  2. Codes and dailies. Redeem NETD, 12K_LIKES, 115K_MEMBERS (and the future 13K-likes code) via the Codes page.
  3. Clear maps that match your power. Jumping Extreme with no farmer teaches frustration, not titan skill.
  4. Craft with intent. One Ultimate finished beats four recipes starved at 80%.
  5. Practice controls. Prestige units still use E / X — read the Controls Guide.
  6. Watch patch notes. The teased Scientist Update may add more scientist-themed prestige or craft targets; track the Latest Patch.

Mode-Specific Notes

Standard Map Clears

Titans and Ultimates are overkill on Easy farming but shine on Hard/Extreme where enemy HP and density punish mid units. Multi-path maps need placement plans before you drop your only Titan on a decorative corner.

Co-op

Difficulty scales with party size for better rewards. Assign who owns the Titan tile versus who owns economy so four players do not all save “for their own Ultimate showcase.” Role templates live in the Co-op Guide.

Endless

Endless is where prestige earn their keep. Scaling HP means cash from kills rises, but so does required DPS. Keep farmers alive; rotate E into Titans/Ultimates as breakpoints appear. Details in the Endless Mode Guide.

Mistakes That Waste Prestige

  • Chasing Titans while running zero farmers.
  • Forcing four Ultimates instead of finishing one.
  • Confusing NETD prestige with units from other Noob TD titles (no Slimegunner-style imports).
  • Never selling outdated mid units after the Titan lands.
  • Ignoring map guides — Maps Guide still applies when your unit names look fancy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What Ultimates exist in NETD?
A: Plan around Ultimate Noob, Ultimate Guest, Ultimate Builder, and Ultimate BrickBattler. More variants may appear as updates land.

Q: Are Titans better than Ultimates?
A: They fill overlapping but not identical prestige roles. Titans often act as raw late anchors; Ultimates extend specific base identities. Build for the hole on your board, not a brand argument.

Q: How do I unlock them?
A: Through high-tier crates (toward Godly), crafting recipes, and long-term progression — not scripts. Level, quest, and craft deliberately.

Q: Should beginners rush Titans?
A: No. Secure controls, a farmer, and stable clears first. Prestige multiplies good habits; it does not replace them.

Q: Do Titans replace Juggernaut Boombox?
A: Not automatically. Boombox’s SoundWave still helps packed waves. Many endgame boards use specialty DPS and Titan/Ultimate anchors.
